Peppermint Hot Chocolate

3/4 oz Peppermint Schnapps 1 c Hot chocolate; prepared Whipped topping 1 Whole candy cane; optional 1. Pour peppermint schnapps into a 10-ounce mug. Stir in hot chocolate. Top with whipped cream. Add a candy cane stirrer or sprinkle with crushed candy cane, if desired. NOTES : For a nonalcoholic version, just omit the schnapps and add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
